A night with Jaco, Wayne and co

With the Trans-Tasman double header only days away members of The Rugby Club Foundation and the Sydney Referees Associations gathered at Woollahra to hear from the gentlemen who will be the sole judge of fact throughout the fixtures.

The opportunity to hear from a panel of five international referees was not wasted with interesting and topical questions coming from the crowd and expert MC Andrew Swain. The answers given by the appointed Bledisloe officials Jaco Peyper, Wayne Barnes and Luke Pearce as well as Tim Baker and Ian Tempest who will officiate the Wallaroos v Black Ferns were candid and insightful. 

It was noted by the panel that there is an art and science to refereeing, and the processes are the same whether taking charge at a community game or at a World Cup. The Rugby Club Foundation is a proud supporter of the Referees in NSW, and thanks all match officials for their contribution to the game.
