Super Rugby Season Launch
The National Maritime Museum and Darling Harbour provided a wonderful backdrop for the NSW Rugby Union launch of the 2019 Super Rugby Season on Wednesday 13 February. Members of The Rugby Club Foundation had the opportunity to mingle with both the Waratahs and the NSW Women’s team who were introduced to the attendees.
While enjoying the canapés, refreshments and scenery, the guests were entertained by a series of speeches and interviews, the highlight for many being the solo a cappella performance of This is Me, by Waratahs prop, Harry Johnson-Holmes.
The evening also celebrated the official announcement of former Governor of New South Wales, Professor The Honourable Dame Marie Bashir AD, CVO, as the new Patron of NSW Rugby. The Rugby Club Foundation congratulates Professor Bashir and the NSWRU on this wonderful and well-deserved appointment.
