Gosford Rugby Club

In December 2020, the Committee of Gosford Rugby Club decided to provide an opportunity (which was not currently available) for females to play Rugby in in the Gosford area in the ages of U13, U15, U17 and Senior Ladies. The Rugby Club Foundation supported their endeavour and is proud to report that the program was a huge success, with Gosford Rugby Club fielding girls teams in the Central Coast Junior Rugby Union 7s competition in the U13s, U15s and U17s age groups. Additionally, the Club also entered a Barbarian side with Woy Woy Rugby Union in the Central Coast Senior Women’s competition. Gosford Rugby Club went from having no standalone female teams in 2020, to having the most junior female players of any club in the junior competition.

The Rugby Club Foundation congratulates all involved in the program and looks forward to its continued success in years to come.
