August 2024

On behalf of the 2024 U15 Manly Marlins, I would like to convey our appreciation for the support that the Rugby Foundation continues to provide at the grassroots level.

With increasing pressures, the financial assistance provided to MJRU ensures that we can continue to send teams in all age groups to the annual NSW State Champs.

Your ongoing support will ensure that we can continue to attract both boys & girls to play at a more competitive level, thus contributing to the longevity of the game.

With much appreciation

I would like to thank you on behalf of the Eastwood Under 11’s Team for supporting and contributing so our team could compete in the State Gala.

It was such a great opportunity for our young boys to represent their club in Mudgee and we appreciate your support of grassroots junior rugby.

Thank you again for all the great work The Rugby Club Foundation does to support grassroots rugby!

July 2024

In the last month I've been involved in my role with the Western Plains Junior Rugby Union in sending teams in the U11 and U12 age groups to their respective State Champs in Mudgee and Camden.

A quick note to send my sincere thanks to The Rugby Club Foundation for their assistance and contribution to these tournaments. We are newcomers to these events in our junior age groups, but are overwhelmed by the atmosphere and enjoyment from our kids and parents when we join the larger Rugby Community. The growth we see in the kids stepping out of the 'small pond to the big pond' provides not only growth to them as future rugby players, but important life skills as they grow and develop. The fellowship and enjoyment our parents experience as a result of being involved are also worth noting.

Our zone has our player base spread over a vast geographical area and any initiatives that are put in place to help our players and their parents to keep help costs down are certainly appreciated and provide a positive reflection in our player participation rates.

Please be assured that your contribution to the State Junior Championships is noticed, appreciated and making a difference to our young players and families participating in Rugby.

Western Plains Junior Rugby President

July 2024

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your support of the Under 11 Rugby Union State Championship tournament held at Mudgee last weekend.

Your support of grassroots rugby had an impact that will extend far beyond the fabulous tournament hosted by Mudgee Wombats.

Eight weeks ago, eighteen boys and families from very different backgrounds joined to form our team. By the final day of the tournament each and every one of those boys in the team huddle felt they were an integral part of the team, they embraced their similarities, celebrated their differences, shared their love for the game and were proud to support each other. The development in their sense of community was crystal clear, and it was wonderful to see the boys gain lifelong skills in teamwork, co-operation, communication and mateship.

It is true these boys dream of one day becoming Wallabies. However the lessons and the skills they learn in grassroots rugby transcend the game. The opportunity to train for, and play at, the state tournament this year helped these boys develop in so many ways, contributing not only to Australian sport, but to our society.

Thank you again for your support.

Manager, Randwick U11 Green rugby representative team

July 2024

Thank you so much for your support of the under 11 Gala Day last weekend. The team, parents and coaching staff all thoroughly enjoyed a weekend of fantastic rugby. So many parents commented on how this opportunity was something that they never got to as a child and how lucky we are to have it.

It was as so wonderful to watch the team grow with every game and play rugby against teams from all over the state.

So on behalf of the White Warringah Rats team, we thank you

July 2024

On behalf of Central North Junior Ruby Union we want to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for their support and generosity for grass roots rugby. The support of The Rugby Foundation is appreciated by all involved.

It was our boys first representative carnival for Rugby Union and they soaked it all up - The atmosphere, sportsmanship, passion and playing the sport they love.

Our little team was lucky to be awarded The Spirit of Rugby Award - this was the icing on the cake for the weekend.

Thank you again.

On behalf of Eastern Suburbs (Beasties U10) we wanted to thank you for your support to allow such a fun and well run event for the boys. What an awesome experience it was. We all (kids, coaches, parents) are passionate about grass roots rugby and its heart warming and exciting to see such high quality challenging games over the weekend. There are certainly some very battered and tired kids around their homes today and they wouldn't have it any other way!

The support of The Rugby Club Foundation is so important and so very much appreciated by us all. Looking forward to being a part of many more great comps ahead.

July 2024

On behalf of the Randwick Magic Rugby Club can you please pass on our sincere thanks to The Rugby Club Foundation for all their support of junior rugby. We are a girls only rugby club which has grown from 40 players several years ago to 80 plus members now. The support that the Foundation is providing in promoting and growing junior rugby, especially girls rugby, is amazing and essential to the growth of the girls game.

Please continue to support the growth of junior rugby, especially across the girls programs so we can continue to develop our junior players.

President - Randwick Magic

July 2024

On behalf of Sydney University U10s (Balmain and Petersham), thanks for supporting the NSWRU U10 Development Gala. Without the support of The Rugby Club Foundation, it would be challenging to attend these events as we are such a small district.

Our kids had a great experience on and off the field, walked away with more confidence, skill and courage, and made a few more mates along the way. Our parents also had a fantastic weekend meeting other like-minded Rugby families.

We're all looking forward to next year.

July 2024

On behalf of everyone at the Mid North Coast Axemen, I want to extend our sincerest gratitude for the invaluable support that The Rugby Club Foundation provided during the NSW Junior Rugby Union State Titles.

Your generous financial support played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of two significant competitions this year that I was involved in alone: the Coffs Harbour based Under 16s Boys and Girls tournament over the June long weekend, and the Under 11s tournament held last weekend at Mudgee. As a coach at both events and tournament organiser at Coffs Harbour as the President of the Coffs Harbour Crusaders, I had a firsthand view of the impact of your contribution to all.

Your contribution not only helped in organising these events smoothly but also fostered an environment where young athletes and their families could showcase their skills and passion for rugby. We couldn't have run the event in Coffs Harbour without your support and we made sure everyone knew about that. The sense of community and sportsmanship that these tournaments instilled in our players is invaluable and will resonate positively throughout their lives.

Once again, thank you for your commitment to supporting grassroots rugby. Your generosity has made a significant difference, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with The Rugby Club Foundation in the future.

July 2024

I am writing on behalf of the Southern Districts junior rugby union teams.

We are very appreciative of your generosity and your continued support of grassroots rugby - without your support a lot of our players and families wouldn't have the opportunity to experience these tournaments so thank you.

We are lucky to have you on board helping build the next generation of rugby players.

July 2024

I am writing on behalf of the Port Macquarie Manta Rays (from Mid North Coast Zone), to say the biggest thank you for all your work and support of Rugby, in particular in the U10 State Gala in which we just played.

The fun that the players have, and the positive environment surrounding these to parents and coaches, makes it a highlight of the rugby season.

Thank you to everyone, involved in the organising, funding, and running of these events.

July 2024

Thank you for your support of the NSW U10 State Gala.

Our team had a fantastic experience and we have instilled a passion for Rugby Union that will hopefully last a lifetime.

The most pleasing aspect was to see the social interaction between various clubs. Our boys spent much of the weekend making friends with boys from other districts.

Rugby has a positive impact on all participants, parents, and volunteers and once again I would like to thank you for your support.

July 2024

I’ve been involved with the Illawarra rep programs for 4 years coaching from U10’s to U18’s. Every year your support has enabled Illawarra to field teams in every age group. You have supported every player and more importantly supported players whom have never joined a rep program due to not being able to afford it. I would like to thank you on behalf of all of us at Illawarra, coaches, volunteers, parents and most importantly the players.

For some of our players the weekend at Mudgee was their first experience of representative rugby for other players they were returning for their second year. Both the Illawarra red and blue teams have been training for some time leading up to our weekend in Mudgee. All players and parents arrived Saturday morning both nervous and very excited. The whole weekend was outstanding filled with huge smile and lots of laughter from everyone.

Each and every parent and player expressed how much fun they had, how much they’ve learnt from the weekend and how excited they were to go back to their clubs to share their stories with friends.

Thank you again for all of your support!

July 2024

Everyone from Central Coast's teams Red and Yellow U10's want to say a massive thankyou for your support in making this gala day (and the lead up to this event) happen.

As the father of one of these kids, Rugby is the best, he has his best mates play with him week in week out, and now through the reps for this event, he has more.

This event allowed everyone from the Central Coast to pitch themselves against the best in the state, not just the scores, but the players, the coaching and the supporters.

We have all said we loved every minute of it.

Central Coast Yellow Team Manager

July 2024

As parent and team manager who recently attended the u11 Rugby Union Gala Day in Mudgee, I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for your support of this event.

Thanks to your support, young rugby enthusiasts had the opportunity to participate in a day filled with camaraderie, sportsmanship, and skill development, fostering a love for the game at its grassroots.

The impact of your support extends beyond this event, empowering our community to continue nurturing the next generation of rugby players.

July 2024

On behalf of the Northern Suburbs Junior Rugby Club, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to The Rugby Club Foundation for your incredibly generous support of the U10s NSW Junior State Champs 2024. Your support made our reps program more accessible for all, regardless of personal financial situations.

The Norths U10s squad (Red & Black Teams) had a truly remarkable weekend at NSW State Champs 2024. They celebrated the spirit of rugby, showcased their developing skills, and enjoyed a wonderful time with friends, both old and new, on and off the field.

We acknowledge that without the support of the Rugby Club Foundation, events like the NSW Junior State Champs and other grassroots rugby programs would not be possible. Your contribution plays a crucial role in fostering our players' love, passion, development, progression, and dedication to the game. For this, we are tremendously grateful.

Thank you once again for your invaluable support.

July 2024

On behalf of the Sydney University District Junior Rugby Club U11 team I would like to convey our sincere appreciation to The Rugby Club Foundation for it’s support of the NSW Junior State Gala last weekend in Mudgee.

Needless to say, both parents and players had an enjoyable time in Mudgee, where the camaraderie and values of rugby were evident throughout the weekend.

The Rugby Club Foundation’s support for the grassroots game and living its vision for “sharing the spirit of the game” is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

July 2024

I am one of the referee coaches who spent three days in Camden recently to attend the U12 State Championship.

The event was an outstanding success with 21 teams from both Sydney Metro area and NSW rural clubs, plus one team from ACT and one team from Melbourne. There were 11 referees from both Sydney metro and NSW regional areas.

As much as the players developed over three days, we saw the referees come ahead by even greater bounds. We saw confidence and skill develop with each match and with each discussion with their mentor and their team mates, for they also learned that the expression “team of three” was more than just a concept. These young referees will take their accelerated development and abilities back to their districts and many teams will feel the benefits as a result.

So I am writing to say “thank you” to The Rugby Club Foundation for your generosity and support for this event. Without your assistance, the event at Camden and those that took place further afield over the June long weekend, would have been much diminished and much less successful events. Junior Rugby has much to thank you for.

Thanks again and regards

July 2024

I attended the U12 State Championships recently at Camden.

I was really pleased to see the Rugby Club Foundation again offering financial support to grass roots rugby. From a referee perspective, working with young referees to assist their growth and skill development, this type of carnival is invaluable, and realistically, would not be possible without the financial that the Foundation provided.

Please pass on my thanks to the Board, and I hope that your commitment to this grass roots development continues into the future.

On behalf of the Hunter Wildfires under 11s to say thanks for the support from the Rugby Club Foundation

We really appreciate the support of the State Gala and what it means to our players, coaches and supporters.

Rugby is all about community and your support just reinforces this.

July 2024

On behalf of the U11 Manly Marlins development squad, we wanted to thank you for your ongoing support, which includes the 2024 U11 State Gala. The Rugby Club Foundation’s endless support makes a big difference behind the scenes.

My 11 year old son just loves rugby and has played for Allambie Jets for 5 years and represented MJRU U10 in 2023 and U11 in 2024. His continued development wouldn't be possible without your ongoing support.

I know this sentiment is echoed by the players and parents throughout our team and we are all very much looking forward to the Mudgee State Gala in a couple of weeks.

Thanks again,

U11 Manager MJRU

July 2024

I write to you from the Warringah Rats U10 Development Squad. We want to thank you for all of your continued support towards Rugby and all the hard work you and your team do.

With our upcoming NSWJRU State Gala at Riverwood Park - We are very much looking forward to a fun filled rugby weekend made possible by The Rugby Club Foundation.

June 2024

I am writing this email to thank you The Rugby Club Foundation for the assistance you provided for the NSW Rugby state championships on the June long weekend.

I attended the Under 16s boys and girls in Coffs Harbour as a Match Official Developer (MOD or Referee Coach) being miced up to referees, reviewing their matches with them and agreeing work ons for their next match. The days were full going from one match to the next with the actual teams playing the games giving their all fighting it out to be Country champs, Sydney champs and then State champs.

Lots of the referees are young and have been identified through the regions they live and referee in. They arrive with a good capacity to referee and more importantly an understanding of how to review, be honest with themselves, implement work ons from one game to the next and to improve with their refereeing. Being mostly young they also had lots of fun when it was time to.

The biggest highlight for someone like me being involved is seeing all the referees through our processes improve from day one, all through the way through tournament and then through to the finals.

After each days play we as a MOD group meet to dissect the day regarding trends, game areas and how the referees are going. We then as a group do something similar with the referees around dinner.

The big reasons why in my view what we do so well works, is initially from the buy in from the referees to improve but mostly from the way NSW Rugby Refs plan for these weekends, set us all up weeks/months out from the event and through the coordinators they appoint for each event. Getting us all on the same page comes from NSW Rugby Refs and the coordinators who are very good at what they do.

All cudos also to Coffs Harbour Rugby and all the people that worked on the other aspects of the tournament. A big thanks to all the first aiders. For someone thats been involved in rugby for 35 years I have seen lots of first aiders in action and the ones I saw in Coffs were busy and did extremely well.

There are a lot of things that go into making these tournaments possible. The work your organisation does behind the scenes and the support you give makes it all possible. Thank you ever so much for making my experience in Coffs an enjoyable one, making it possible and also making it possible for the referees, the other MODs and all else involved.

June 2024

I’m from mid north coast, I'd like to thank you for giving me and all the other referees the opportunity to referee at these carnivals, it was a great experience and I loved it.

June 2024

I’m a referee from Lismore and I would like to sincerely thank you for you assistance in making the state championships happen. As I had an amazing experience as a result of your hard work and dedication.

June 2024

I recently was involved in the Under-14s Girls and Boys Country and State rugby championships at Dubbo and it was, like the many others I have attended over the years, a huge logistical and financial undertaking.

The support from The Rugby Club Foundation played a major part in the success of this and other tournaments around the state, again.

Without this support some kids, in the case of referees, would not be able to attend. Times are tough but every bit helps and as a result of the contribution of the Rugby Club Foundation, we were able to invite many youngsters, the elite from their various associations, to learn, to make new friends, to make themselves better people and better referees.

The quality gear your organisation provided is always greatly appreciated and cherished by the youngsters. They wore your colours with pride and will continue to do so.

I hope you excuse my verbosity of this missive but there are so many other benefits that are derived as the result of support from The Rugby Club Foundation.

With the help of our referee coaches (Match Official Developers) the youngsters were in a safe, friendly environment with people who care about them which obviously makes learning so much more conducive considering the environment.

A junior referee, say 13-14 years of age, gets to a breakdown in play and within seconds has to assess the legality of the tackle, has the tackled player been released, has the tackled player made the ball available, are those joining the breakdown coming from the right side? The referee needs to get there, adjudicate on the aforementioned and assess the progress of the process, mitigate if needed and apply a sanction if required. All in a very short space of time.

These skills the kids take with them off the field, to home, to school and in their everyday lives. Important, enduring life skills.

The dollars you provide are more than helpful, bordering on essential, but collectively The Rugby Club Foundation gives so much more and enables us to do more with these talented groups of young men and women from the various referee associations.

Thank you.

Life Member, Central Coast Rugby Union Referees Association.

June 2024

I attended the State U/16 Championships in Coffs Harbour early in June 2024. It has been brought to my attention the significant contribution made by the Rugby Club Foundation that enabled the tournament to take place.

A large contingent of the Referees came from various Country Regions giving them valuable experience and exposure to high quality games. I would like to offer my personal thanks to the Foundation who deserve much credit for their vision in financially supporting Junior Rugby in NSW.

June 2024

A note of thanks to the Rugby Club Foundation for the significant financial contribution to the Match Officials in the recent NSW State Champs.

Match Officials as you know are often an afterthought during tournament discussions etc, but not from the Foundation as we quite often see and feel the support directly from the Foundation and it doesn’t go unnoticed. We know the support is genuine and authentic….so thanks!

Just a quick email to pass on our thanks and appreciation to The Rugby Club Foundation for supporting the NSW Junior State Championships.

I am the manager for the U14 Girls Mid North Coast zone team. It is a big financial outlay for families to travel to Dubbo for the State Championships and we are thankful for the generosity of The Rugby Club Foundation in helping to ease this financial pressure. Your continued support allows so many rugby players to experience this great sport at a state level.

June 2024

We are so incredibly grateful for the support of The Rugby Foundation for our U14 Boys South Coast Monaro team.

One week on and we all have the post-party blues and our chat is still bubbling away with chat about the memories we have made, the highlights and the 'family' we created as we came together for our Dubbo trip.

This is the first time that the South Coast Monaro team has been part of NSW Country Championships and for the 23 boys and their families it was just an incredible experience to play at that level and to be part of something so big.

We came together from Jindabyne to Crookwell and everywhere in between and were only able to have three training sessions before we headed north. Our coach said at the beginning 'you were a group of boys that started playing as about five different clubs, but after a few games you came together and played as one' - and that is exactly what happened. We couldn't be prouder of these boys.

We made memories that will last a lifetime and we are so grateful for the support of The Rugby Club Foundation.

Thank you from the U14 South Coast Monaro Boys:

Levi, William, Frank, Levi, Xavier, Nikos, Zac, Rydah, Thomas, Elijah, Max, Ollie, Anson, David, Ashton, Jacob, Toby, Joseph, Reuben, Matt, Flynn, Oscar and Noah.

Thank you also from the coaches: Rob, Elijah and Scott and manager Tania.

Thank you from all the parents and carers.

June 2024

On behalf of the Central North 16 boys team, I would like to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for the wonderful support provided in the running of the State Championship carnivals.

Our team had a wonderful weekend of rugby in Coffs Harbour. The boys played some great footy, showed wonderful sportsmanship, teamwork and were exceptional ambassadors for our zone and the sport of rugby.

Thank you to the Foundation for all that you do!

Once again, we are very grateful for your support.

June 2024

I am writing to pass on my team’s thank you for the support of the The Rugby Club Foundation. This is my first year being involved with State Champs rugby and my U15s from Randwick had a fantastic time with several playing their first state competition. I understand that without the support of the Foundation it would be more costly for teams to enter and with the cost of everything at the moment it certainly is a huge help.

I look forward to being able to support my team again next year and greatly appreciate the continuing support of the Foundation.

June 2024

I wish to express our greatest thanks for The Rugby Club Foundation’s support of our State Champs tournament. It’s very much appreciated and ensures we give the best possible opportunities to our families to participate.

On behalf of Gordon Jnrs Rugby Club and me personally I would like to sincerely thank The Rugby Club Foundation for supportingthe New South Wales State Champs last weekend.

This is an incredible weekend run by so many volunteers in many rural destinations and without your support it would make it very difficult to execute such an incredible event across all the age groups.

Thank you for helping make last weekend happened. This event allows us to showcase how strong grass roots rugby is.

Kind Regards

June 2024

On behalf of Randwick Rugby, I'd like to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for your generous funding support for the State Championship. It doesn't go unnoticed by us at Randwick and is very much appreciated by all involved in particular our players and parents.

The tournament was once again a great success and a wonderful experience for all our players, including our U14 Girls who were competing at the State Champs for the first time in our club's history. The smiles on the girl's faces all weekend said it all.

So thanks again for your ongoing support of grassroots rugby. It means a lot to so many people involved in our great game.

All the best.

June 2024

On behalf of the Illawarra District Junior Rugby Union U15 Boys team, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Rugby Foundation for your generous support. Your contribution plays a vital role in making our participation in the NSW Junior State Championships possible, and ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder our young athletes' opportunities.

The Foundation’s support is immensely appreciated. This generous assistance not only alleviates the financial burden on our association but also reinforces the values of inclusivity and equal opportunity. For many of our players, particularly those from our significant Pacifica cohort, rugby offers a positive pathway for personal growth and development. Unfortunately, these young talents are often targeted by other sports leagues, which can offer financial incentives.

By minimizing the expenses associated with representative pathways, your contribution helps us retain and nurture these promising athletes within the rugby union framework. This investment in their future is invaluable and fosters a sense of loyalty and commitment to the sport, ensuring that rugby remains accessible to all our players regardless of their financial background.

Your continued support is crucial in maintaining the affordability of rugby for our community. We believe that no player should miss out on the opportunity to compete and develop due to financial constraints.

Once again, thank you for support of our team, Illawarra Rugby, and the broader rugby community.

We look forward to continuing this partnership and seeing our players grow and succeed, both on and off the field.

With deepest gratitude,

Manager

Illawarra District Junior Rugby Union U15 Boys Team

On behalf of the Newcastle wildfires U14’s boys team, we are grateful for the contribution that has been made towards the carnival. It’s a wonderful gesture, that puts resources in the right places for grassroots rugby. These carnivals are important for rugby, but they are also much more than that, creating social bonds between players, coaches and parents. It’s a reinforcement of the values we hold in rugby, but more importantly the values we are looking to uphold in life.

Thanks again for your continued support.

The support you have given to the state champs means that more players are able to afford to come and its hard to put into words how greatful we are!

Thank you on behalf of our entire team and parents. We look forward to next year.

I just wanted to write and personally thank you for all the support you continue to give the sport of rugby, particularly in this case, the Dubbo Country Champs! I am the team manager for the Hunter Wildfires U14 girls, who came away with the title of Country Champions today!!

The last two days have been an extremely smooth experience, bringing so many smiles to our girls faces today - the girls who are the future of rugby union! As a player myself, it brings me great joy to witness it.

Again, it’s with great thanks to The Rugby Club Foundation team for getting behind this amazing experience for our girls, and we can’t wait to get back out on the field tomorrow for the final day.

Much gratitude and appreciation again for your ongoing support.

Team Manager Hunter Wildfires

Thank you again for everything you do for the sport of rugby.

April 2024

On behalf of West Harbour Junior Rugby union in appreciation of the support of The Rugby Club for our state Championships teams.

West Harbour Juniors works hard to make rugby an affordable option for the players, though costs are always prohibitive for many players.

The support of the Rugby Club Foundation helps in making rugby accessible for our players.

Many thanks and appreciation.

President of West Harbour Junior Rugby Union

February 2024

Thank you to The Rugby Club Foundation for the support with our Minis initiative. There is a lot of excitement within the Sydney Juniors community about this Minis initiative and we would not have been able to roll this out without the generous support of The Rugby Club Foundation.

George Roper

Chair Sydney Junior Rugby Union

December 2023

I just wanted to drop you a note to wish you all a Merry Christmas and to once again say thank you for your amazing support of grassroots junior rugby this year.

July 2023

On behalf of the NSW Juniors Committee, I would like to personally thank the Rugby Club Foundation for their continued and invaluable support of the NSW Junior State Championships. Without this generous contribution these Championships would not be able to grow as they have year on year into the largest tournament of its type with this year hosting over 200 teams. This support enables us to improve operational efficiencies and welcome so many teams/Districts & Zones across so many venues.

Last weekend was our final event with the Under 10s and 11s running their gala day at Eric Tweedale stadium in Granville. These are our youngest participants and the tournament works as a true foundation and development platform for our great game. The feedback from this event has been extraordinarily positive and it is great to see so many boys and girls getting involved in rugby grassroots. It is difficult to properly articulate the impact your generosity has had however without such it is likely that our less financially fortunate players would not have been able to participate. Additionally the quality of our 1st Aid and Referees across last weekend and the June long weekend was exemplary and made possible through your support.

Your contribution is greatly appreciated and certainly not underestimated, we are extraordinarily grateful and amazed by everything you do for grassroots rugby.

Many many thanks

Andrew Hutton

President - NSW Junior Rugby Union

June 2023

Thanks for all you do to bring the State Champs to life. The support, both on and off the field, is very much appreciated. As manager of the u15's Norths Juniors, I can say on behalf of everyone, that we had a super time and the competition was run extremely seamlessly.

Thanks for your part in keeping kids play rugby!

June 2023

Thank you for enabling this competition to happen and for your continued assistance to get players to these carnivals, who may otherwise not get the opportunity to participate. It is appreciated beyond measure by, not only the committees but families involved. To see all these boys together, no matter what their circumstances are – as equals – playing together is a tremendous thing to see. I feel very privileged to have been a part of such a positive experience.

Manager U16 Boys

June 2023

Thanks to The Rugby Club Foundation for the continued support of the State Championships last weekend. I took a squad of 24 up to Orange and the boys thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend, and got to spend time with kids from many other districts over the weekend - rekindling both friendships and rivalries!

June 2023

I wanted to write and thank you and The Rugby Club Foundation for your support of the NSW Country Championships. I managed the U15 boys team this year and it was once again the highlight of the season for the boys.

As the Zone Secretary I understand the value of the support that the Foundation provides. As a zone many of our families struggle financially to participate in the rep program. Attending Country and State Championships and often just attending training, requires a commitment to travel and accomodation. We supply financial assistance to many of our families, knowing that sport provides an opportunity that many of the players from isolated communities get nowhere else in their lives. The extra assistance provided by the foundation allows us to provide support and opportunities to players who might otherwise have to withdraw from the program.

Please pass on our gratitude and the knowledge that your support is making a big difference in the more remote areas of the state.

Central North Junior Rugby Union - Secretary

June 2023

On behalf of U16s Two Blues Boys, their families and our coaching staff, we would like to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for your continued support for Grassroots Junior Rugby.

Your support has benefited our boys and their families immensely especially since a lot of our families have more than one child competing in State Championships each year.

We appreciate all the work you do for Grassroots rugby and your continued support in the future.

President

June 2023

A huge thank you from the Warringah U14 Boys team for the U14 Junior Rugby State Championships in Dubbo!

I know I speak on behalf of the players and parents of our team when I say the long weekend spent at the Junior Rugby State Championships is one of our favourite weekends of the year!

The weekend was so well run and it is thanks to the tireless efforts of yourself and The Rugby Club Foundation. Not only was some great rugby played across this weekend but it is instrumental in forming life long friendships and bonds between these boys and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you! It is very much appreciated!

Warringah U14 Boys Manager

June 2023

On behalf of Central North Junior Rugby Union, we would like to offer our sincere thanks to The Rugby Club Foundation for their continuing support of grass roots rugby and in particular the NSW State Championships.

Particularly over the past few years, many of us have endured fires, floods, drought and then of course the pandemic which have brought about hardship for so many families. The financial support that The Rugby Club Foundation offers ensures that those families can still compete at these events despite the cost. This is so important to continually grow the game that we all love. More importantly, our players, Coaches, Managers, and volunteers all come away from the State Champs each year having grown as a person. Competing at these events teaches us all about generosity, humility, humbleness, kindness, tolerance, and patience.

Every year we enthusiastically look forward to competing at the State Championships and this year did not disappoint. Our zone was one of the zones with the most teams entered, and we continue to grow each year with the help of The Rugby Club Foundation’s support.

Thank you again and we look forward to another very successful State Champs in 2024.

Central North Junior Rugby Union Rep Coordinator

June 2023

The U13s Manly Marlins would like to say a huge thank you for helping support another great NSW Junior State Championship.

This year’s for the U13s at Orange was a fantastic experience on so many levels for the boys, our coaching team and all the families that come along. Not only did the boys just love playing boys from all over the state (and ACT & Melbourne), all the families really enjoyed spending the few days lapping up the country hospitality and getting to know those in our team and other teams at the competition. For those of us who have been lucky enough to attend more than one of these, it’s clear just how important this is to growing and developing the boys but also building the lifelong friends that come through rugby.

On behalf of our coaches, players, families and myself thank you again for a great competition.

We are already looking forward to being involved in 2024!

June 2023

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to The Rugby Club Foundation for your support with Junior Rugby and in particular the State Championships last weekend.

We were in Orange and the Easts U13 boys thoroughly enjoyed an incredibly well run tournament, along with the chance to bond, foster friendships and importantly it gave the boys an opportunity to play and improve upon their skills in the sport that they love best.

Manager, Easts

June 2023

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your support and generosity when it comes to supporting our kids love of rugby.

Our boys from the bush had an absolute blast playing at Orange. The boys were unlucky when it came to coming away with a win as far as points go, but the lessons they learnt and the mates they have made on their rugby journey, made them the winners by the end of the carnival.

Thanks again for helping to make it possible.

Central North under 13s

June 2023

Just wanted to genuinely forward my appreciation to The Rugby Foundation for your amazing support of junior rugby.

Me personally as the VP of Girls Rugby at Manly Junior Rugby Union, have had a trying time to win over girls to rugby as their Primary sport.

Having the opportunity for me to invite girls to participate at an amazingly run Junior tournament and have their playing fees covered by The Rugby Foundation was a total blessing for our program.

With your teams help we were able to provide rugby playing and more importantly girls sport's participation for the majority of our girls whom may not have had the financial means to participate.

June 2023

I write to you to thank you and the members of the Foundation for your support of the Rugby State Championship on behalf of the U14 Gordon Girls team and families.

We enjoyed a fabulous weekend in Dubbo. The girls may have not brought home the hardware but the experience and lessons learnt were invaluable. It created a buzz not only amongst the girls but also the parents. It has solidified everyone who participated into continuing their commitment to rugby and enticed others to join! The love was contagious!

We appreciate the financial assistance and support that is given to our girls at this grassroots level and look forward to the continuation as they progress through the pathways and girls rugby grows.

June 2023

It is a privilege for a NSW Country venue to hold this amazing competition. Not only for the City families to travel to the country but it's a wonderful exposure for Rugby Union in general.

I would like to thank the Board of the Rugby Club Foundation for the continued support that you have given to this event. This was my eighth year in running this prestigious event so thank you for allowing me to do so.

Without the support from the Foundation the teams would not be able to sustain this expense. We had 20 teams come to Orange this year and they all left amazed by our tournament and town.

It's a privilege and an honour to give back to the Rugby community.

U13 NSW Junior State Championships

June 2023

Thank you for supporting the State Championships.

Our team had great time at the Under 12s event in Camden.

The experience was great for our team – to meet new people, to bond as a team (as we cover a large district our training sessions are limited) and to test our skills against other teams.

By attending this event, our team strengthen their team work and skills. I feel it also enhanced their love of the game.

We had lots of happy parents and children – lots of laughs shared and positivity from our group.

It was great to be able to experience this with the other parents and our children.

The competition was well run and inclusive.

Thank you for supporting the State Championships and helping this event to go ahead.

Thank you

on behalf of

Mid North Coast Axemen Under 12s

June 2023

A massive thank you must go to The Rugby Club Foundation.

Their contribution is a huge investment in the future of rugby.

Allowing these young men to take part is a key driver for the success of the game into the future.

I am sure some families would not have had boys playing if not for their generous support given by The Rugby Club Foundation.

Please can you pass on our thanks from all the players and parents from the New England Under 15’s Team.

June 2023

Just extending our appreciation for the generous support from The Rugby Club Foundation.

We had a wonderful State Champs experience across all girls age groups and love that we are supported to keep striving to grow the game, particularly the girls game.

June 2023

What a way for most of our boys to finish their journey in the junior competition! Success after years of building and taking out the championship.

None of this would be possible without the support of the foundation and we are forever grateful. Our boys have the best memories from their years at the championships and have built long life friendships.

Thanks again,

Randwick Open Boys 2023

June 2023

On behalf of the Randwick U15s team a huge thank you to you and the Rugby Club Foundation for their great support of the 2023 State Championships. The team enjoyed a fantastic three days at Concord.

Please pass on our thanks for the major role your organisation plays to enable these great experiences for our young players and their families.

June 2023

On behalf of the Illawarra Ruby club u14 girls the management coaches and parents, we would like to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to all that you have done in helping our girls realise their rugby dreams. None of this would have happen without your help so once again we all say a very big thank you.

June 2023

On behalf of the Central North U18s Girls I would like to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for their generous support of the recent State Champs.

Our girls had a wonderful weekend of rugby, the opportunity to develop their skills and to catch up with rugby friends on and off the field. Without the support of your foundation some of our players wouldn't have had the opportunity to participate at that level as cost is often a barrier to country kids competing at State events.

Once again thank you or your support of junior rugby.

June 2023

Thankyou for the support you gave to the recent rugby state championships in Dubbo. We took a squad of 24 boys over and they loved every single minute of it. They played together and socialized, making real connections and friends for life.

The opportunity to have such fabulous organizers, referees & first aid out in Dubbo is just amazing. We are super grateful for everything.

Manager - Central West U14 Boys

June 2023

On behalf of the families and players from Hawkesbury Valley Junior Rugby Club we would like to extend our appreciation to The Rugby Foundation for its continued support. These opportunities provide long life friendships and experiences for our young people.

June 2023

On behalf of Northern Suburbs Junior Rugby Union, I would like to thank the team at The Rugby Club Foundation for the incredible commitment you have shown NSW Junior Rugby with your support of the NSW State Champs.

Our players, parents and supporters are extremely grateful for your team’s involvement with Junior rugby and the State Champs.

Thank you, again, for your support and we look forward to the relationship continuing for many more seasons to come.

President - NSJRU

June 2023

Every facet of the NSW State Tournament has improved since the Rugby Club Foundation support has been involved with the program.

The rugby balls, quality referees, match officials, live stream games and medical assistants are all better through your continued support. They can't do this without your generous involvement and we greatly appreciate everything you provide to us.

Rugby has its challenges, but the support provided by The Rugby Club Foundation places our sport in a much better position and helps show why we do what we do, to get our players loving the greatest sport of all, for the fun and competitiveness of the game.

Thank you again to the entire Rugby Club Foundation Team, you really do make a difference for each of these players, their families and the support base.

June 2023

I would just like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Rugby Club Foundation for the support it provides to the NSW Juniors State Rugby Championships. I was a coach of the Randwick Easts u16 girls team that just played up at Port Macquarie. Many of our girls had not played at a State Championship previously so it was a new experience for many of them. It was a fantastic tournament and the support the Rugby Club Foundation provides is very much appreciated.

Many of these girls were new to XV's rugby and by playing 9 games in 3 days their skills, knowledge and love for the game increased exponentially. Ultimately these types of tournaments and the support for grassroots rugby will put it in a stronger position going forward. As a father of three daughters all of which love their rugby, the support for girls rugby and rugby in general going forward cannot be underestimated.

Please pass on our sincere thanks to the Board of the Rugby Club Foundation for supporting such wonderful events.

June 2023

Thank you for providing our boys the opportunity to play and enjoy Rugby.

Central North Under 14 Boys Manager

June 2023

The boys and families had such a tremendous weekend in Dubbo.

I know without the support and generosity of The Rugby Club Foundation, these opportunities wouldn’t happen as they do and grassroots Union would not be succeeding as it is year on year!

Again, thank you for the Foundation’s support; please know it is so appreciated across NSW junior rugby.

Central Coast U14 Boys Team Manager

June 2023

The Far North Coast Under 14 Rugby Union team would like to thank you all for your generous and enduring support of grassroots junior rugby and it’s unwavering commitment to the continued growth of the junior game in NSW.

We can not thank the Foundation enough for the opportunity for our small zone to be able to compete at such a prestigious event & for the experiences at so many levels our players will take away from such a high level tournament with its all round professionalism.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the foundation for providing such a high level of dedicated volunteers from not only the refereeing and medical fraternities but the selectors & other support staff that assisted in making the event such an all round success.

We as a playing & coaching group really look forward to returning next year.

Far North Coast Under 14’s Players & Management

June 2023

I would like to pass on my thanks for the organisation and financial contribution toward this tournament.

Each year as I watch my daughter grow and mature both physically and mentally I am grateful the opportunity this great game provides our juniors.

June 2023

Thank you so much for your support with this Championships - it is so good - kids love it because they get to meet new friends or kids and enjoy playing rugby. Good Luck for the future.

June 2023

On behalf of Illawarra girls u16s and as the overall coordinator for our girls program to say thank you.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks for your contribution and support to our sport. It helps our parents in sending our team to this event especially with current cost of living pressures.

We appreciate the volunteers and coordinator groups in their effort but also the partners who make this event possible and provide the baseline support to run the event,

Please pass our thanks onto your organization.

June 2023

We had a fantastic experience in Dubbo, quite the nail biter at times but finishing with victory in the grand final. We’re all still riding a bit of a high. We are very grateful for the support of the Rugby Club Foundation which made the tournament possible. Please pass on our thanks to the Board, and we look forward to another excellent championship in 2024.

June 2023

On behalf of the U16s girls team from Central North Junior Rugby Union I wish to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for your continued support of kids rugby. Last weekend we took 25 girls from the bush to Port Macquarie for the weekend to what was an incredibly well run carnival.

The grounds, organisation, referees & medics - everything was spot on.

We’ve all had a fabulous time, and have been lucky enough to have 7 girls selected for further representative rugby with NSW Country.

Thanks again for your support,

Central North U16s Girls

The State Championship means so much to me and to every young girl and boy who took part in the 2023 State Championship.

June 2023

On behalf of Central West Junior Rugby Union we would like to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for their support, funding and commitment to Junior Rugby across New South Wales.

Without such a commitment, junior rugby union would struggle to have such a wide breath of representation!

Manager CW u14 Girls.

June 2023

I would like to say a massive thank you from me as VP of Gordon Jnrs but also as a mum of a player who participated in the U15’s at St Luke’s over the long weekend.

What an incredible weekend, I’ve been going to state champs for the last 6 years and this would have to be the best yet.

All the work put in by so many volunteers was amazing and the financial support that The Rugby Foundation has given is such a great contribution to our game.

So a massive Thank you for being apart of making this competition such an awesome representation of the game we all love.

May 2023

Please pass on our thanks to all at The Rugby Club Foundation – this grant represents a significant opportunity for the NSWRRA to have a positive impact on the game at all levels in our jurisdiction – juniors to Shute Shield and into representative rugby – as we improve our recruitment/retention and development of our referees.

We acknowledge the trust the Foundation has placed in us with these valuable funds.

Our deepest thanks and kindest regards.

David Marshall

President – NSWRRA

May 2023

Thank you so much for the continued support from the Rugby Club Foundation.

Suburban Rugby’s initiatives with match officials and coaches simply would not exist without the Foundation’s generosity. Your organization’s focus on funding practical measures to help community rugby is very much appreciated.

Thanks again,

Tim Richards

December 2022

It is also important to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for their generosity towards grassroots junior rugby in 2022. The really are wonderful people making a difference and we are very appreciative of their efforts.

August 2022

Great to see an organisation doing right by rugby across all levels.

August 2022

The VRRA is extremely grateful to The Rugby Club Foundation for providing the grant which has enabled us to purchase communications sets to ensure all senior 1st VX matches have full teams of 3 with operational communications sets. We have also been able to purchase a number of coaches sets to provide even more of our younger and less experienced referees with the best coaching tools possible.

The match sets will improve the quality of the communications between the referee and ARs and lead to better outcomes for these games, ensuring the players will be provided the best match experience possible.

Best regards,

Andrew Schwilk

President, Victorian Rugby Referees Association

July 2022

Please pass on my thanks to Chairman Angus Bruxner and his Board for the massive support the Rugby Club foundation gave to the 2022 NSW State Champs.

Hopefully your investment at this level of our great game will pay healthy dividends for years to come.

July 2022

On behalf of Petersham Juniors Rugby Club we just wanted to express our gratitude to the The Rugby Club Foundation Board. The support that the Rugby Club Foundation has provided to grass roots rugby is appreciated. The funding you provide for the Juniors State Champs, Development Officers, Referees and countless other initiatives really does make a difference. A simple example of how you make our life easier: every year we get asked about Assn/Competition fees from parents… by removing or reducing some of these conversations allows us more time to focus on improving on field experiences for the kids. We are hoping this investment will pay off long term for the good of the game.

Regards

John Kilkenny

President, Petersham Juniors Rugby Club

July 2022

Just an email of appreciation to The Rugby Club Foundation for your support at this years State Championships and Gala’s.

As a parent of two young Junior boys involved in Rugby; I’m very appreciative of the support and generosity from the Chairman Angus Bruxner as well as the Board in all they have contributed towards the development of our kids and their love Rugby.

July 2022

On behalf of Randwick Rugby, I just wanted to thank The Rugby Club Foundation including yourself, Chairman Angus Bruxner and your Board for your very generous support of grassroots rugby. Your generous offer to pay every District's team fees is an amazing gesture and very much appreciated by all of us here at Randwick.

Both the 2022 NSWJRU State Championships and State Gala were a tremendous success and proved that rugby at the grassroots level is alive and well. Seeing the smiles on all the kids faces over both weekends made all the lead up work preparing our teams for competition definitely worthwhile.

Thanks again and all the best.

Stu Donaldson

Manager, Randwick Junior Academy

July 2022

Our U14 team manager for Gordon has highlighted the important role the Rugby Foundation had in providing financial support in supporting the State Champs to be run so successfully this year. On behalf of our family we wanted to say a huge thank you for the contribution the foundation have made towards junior rugby, and the opportunities our young men have as a result of the support the Board and members of your team have provided.

July 2022

We have just returned from the NSWJRU State Gala, our boys and girls competed for the Manly Marlins squad. They had a short preparation but the experience they had galvanised them as a squad and they also made some quality friendships throughout the weekend.

The atmosphere throughout the weekend, for us, was one of great respect and camaraderie. At the end of each game both teams clapped each other off and posed for pictures together. I think all the squads felt privileged to be there and the parents either remanisted with their own love of the game or in the case of my wife marvelled at the bonds the teams fostered in such a short period.

Please pass our warmest regards to the Chairman, Mr Angus Bruxner and the board of The Rugby Club Foundation for their wonderful support of junior rugby union. Our Seaforth Raiders are better for the experience and in the case of my son I know his passion for the game has grown. He wears his state championship hoodie everywhere, even to an alternate sport practice yesterday.

All the best and thank you.

July 2022

As a parent, I would like to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for their generosity to allow these kids to participate in such a great event! Your donation made is possible for all kids from all walks of life to commit to the events and training.

For months prior this is all my son was talking about and I assure you it will still be talked about for months from now.

July 2022

On behalf of my son (HVJRU) and our family we’d love to thank you all the board members for all the ongoing support you give us.

We know without the support our kids couldn’t play.

July 2022

I just wanted to express on behalf of my wife and son thanks to The Rugby Club Foundation for their support for the representative season.

Our son competed in the u10 tournament. It was our first experience of this and he and we had a great weekend. The number of teams able to compete with the necessary officiating and medical assistance made this the event that it was.

Could you please pass this thanks on to Angus and his board. It is a fantastic thing that they do for our great sport that finds itself in a less than easy moment in its history in Australia. It is so vital to have as many kids playing at this level as possible to further the quality of play and community of rugby.

July 2022

I would like to say that thank you to the Rugby Club Foundation, Chairman Angus Bruxner and the rest of the board for the generous support of the U10 & U11 state gala last weekend.

It was an amazing experience for my son and a memory he will never forget.

July 2022

On behalf of everyone in the U10s Norths Juniors team, managers and coaches, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you for support of the Rugby Club Foundation.

The U10s State Cup was a fantastic experience for all players, and none of this would be possible without the work that you, Angus and the Board do to make everything happen. It was an amazing two days and the Central Coast Junior club team and facilities were first class.

Thank you for supporting grassroots rugby!

July 2022

We would like to thank the Rugby Club Foundation, Chairman Bruxner and the Board, for your generous support over the last weekend in Tuggerah at the NSWJRU State Championships. With your help and financial support, you made it possible for many excited players to come together and share their love for Rugby. The weekend was well organised and ran smoothly. We were very lucky with gorgeous weather as well! Our son loved every minute of the weekend, he learnt a lot and made many friends along the way.

We look forward to next year!

Kind regards,

U10 – Gordon Highlanders Family

July 2022

On behalf of Forest Rugby and my son who represented the Manly Marlins on the weekend, I would like to thank you for the work you do and for your support of the State Championships competition.

Without your support it would be so much harder to keep these kids playing rugby.

Regards,

Tom Heaton

Junior President

July 2022

we gather the state gala day was made possible by the Rugby Foundation.

Our son played throughout the weekend and we would like to express our thanks to the Board for their support to make this event happen.

Great to see so many smiles on so many faces.

July 2022

Please pass on my sincere thanks to the Chairman and Board for their generous support of the NSWJRU U10/ U11 State Gala held last weekend, making it possible for the event to be accessible for so many. My son was part of the Warringah Rats team and it was a truly excellent event, with a great community spirit.

July 2022

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank Rugby Club Foundation Chairman Angus Bruxner, and the whole Board and staff, for their enormously generous support to grassroots rugby.

The recent State Gala was a fantastic festival of rugby and could not have gone ahead without their backing. The Rugby Club Foundation make these events financially viable and allow the children to participate in, and enjoy, our wonderful sport.

The Randwick U10 Greens sent 18 children home with new friends, new skills and big smiles on their faces. Being able to play in a representative tournament at such a young age offers an opportunity not available in other competing codes so events like this are integral for the growth and sustainability of the game.

Once again, thanks to Angus and the Board and we look forward to being part of the event for years to come.

Regards,

Coach Randwick U10 Green

July 2022

Our family is writing to thank the Board of the Rugby Club Foundation for covering the costs of the team team's entry, 1st Aid and Referee costs for the recent U10/11’s Junior Rugby competition. Our son was a representative of the U10’s Gordon Tartan’s and a representative of Lane Cove Junior Rugby Club.

It really was a fabulous weekend and amazing venue on the Central Coast. A perfect weekend of junior rugby for the boys and girls, and a fantastic atmosphere by the host clubs.

We look forward to more fantastic opportunities and events to continue the support and growth of grass-roots rugby, and appreciate the financial contribution of the Rugby Club Foundation.

July 2022

A short note to pass on my thanks for the amazing NSWJRU U10 State Gala at the weekend.

It was a great event. Lots of learning and development, friendships formed, and the parents had a great time too!

Thank you to The Rugby Club Foundation and the Chair, Angus Bruxner, for their support.

July 2022

Just a short note to pass on my sincere thankyou to Mr Bruxner and the Board of the Rugby Club Foundation.

My son participated in the U10s for Northern Suburbs and I was the coach. It was a fantastic occasion, well organized and a pleasure to be part of.

I look forward to attending again next year.

Thank you once more.

July 2022

My eldest boy played in his first rugby development gala weekend for North’s U10’s at Tuggerah.

What an incredible facility!

It was an exceptional weekend that allowed Rugby at a junior level thrive. And importantly the kids to experience all that rugby has to offer, including inspiring them about the game and the people.

Please pass on my thanks to The Rugby Club Foundation for their support. Giving so many kids from so many area’s these opportunities at these types of facilities is paramount to not only growing grass roots rugby but also interest in the game.

July 2022

My son recently participated in the above event last weekend at Tuggerah. This is our 3rd time experiencing this wonderful event with our two older son’s also being fortunate enough to participate in prior years.

It was truly an example of everything that is great about the game they play in heaven. Our son and his team mates really enjoyed the increased competition, district rivalry and have made lifelong friends. They will always remember their first taste of development rugby.

We have only just been made aware that the cost of this tournament is covered by the Rugby Club Foundation. The chairman, Mr Angus Bruxner and the board members all need to be congratulated for their on-going support of rugby at the grass roots level.

Keep up the great work.

Yours in Rugby,

Parent from Northern Suburbs

July 2022

Just a quick note to extend my thanks to The Rugby Club Foundation for their support of the recent U10's rugby tournament at the Entrance.

It was a great competition. The kids had a great time, and the event was seamlessly organised!

I understand that without the support of the Rugby Club, events like this aren't possible.

So I wanted to pass on my thanks on behalf of my son, our club and the rugby team.

July 2022

My son was selected to represent the Manly Marins at u11 age group this year at . He was selected last year also but due to COVID missed out on the opportunity to play representative level.

During the weekend I was informed that the Rugby Club Foundation covered the cost of each team's entry fee as well as paying for the referees and the first aid.

The weekend was an amazing experience for both the players and the parents. It was amazing to see so many young men and young ladies playing their games and to have all the clubs come together for this festival of rugby. Making this all possible and minimising the coast for hundreds of families across NSW is amazing and this email is to send a note of thanks.

Could you please pass on our thanks to Angus Bruxner, the board and everyone involved for this generous contribution!

Australia has a healthy and bright rugby future if this weekend was anything to go by.

Here are a bunch of happy smiling faces - and that's the spirt of rugby right there!

Thanks again.

Ben Goodland

(Vice President) Juniors, Manly Roos Junior Rugby Union Club

July 2022

On behalf of the NSW Juniors Committee, I would like to personally thank the Rugby Club Foundation for their amazing support of the NSW Junior State Championships. Without this generous contribution we would not have been able to run as effectively and welcome so many teams/Districts & Zones across so many venues.

Last weekend was our final event with the Under 10s and 11s running their gala day in the Central Coast. These are our youngest participants and the tournament is a true development one. The feedback from this event has been extraordinarily positive and it is great to see so many boys and girls getting involved in the grassroots of our game.

Director - NSW Rugby & Waratahs

July 2022

I just wanted to congratulate The Rugby Club Foundation on its involvement with this weekend’s u10 and u11 Development State Championships.

Some great rugby was played and some fond memories created for the players involved.

From MJRU, thanks again for your involvement in and assistance of junior rugby

Cheers

Peter Gibson
President, Manly Junior Rugby Union

July 2022

I am writing a to thank you so much for the incredible support you provided for the boys and girls - as well as their families - who were so lucky to participate in the State Gala at Tuggerah over the weekend.

It was an amazing event - so much fun for the kids and parents alike. Some lifelong memories were made.

The contribution made by The Rugby Club Foundation is greatly appreciated - there is no doubt whatsoever that it enabled many families to attend that would not have been able to without your generous support! And this made for an even more memorable event with so many regions represented, allowing teams to play against teams that they would simply never have the opportunity to play against.

The spirit of rugby was alive and well…and you guys played a huge part in this!

As President of the Raiders, I want make a special thanks on behalf of our club for the support you provide across all ages and so many of our boys and girls who participated across the weekend and all the State Championships earlier in the season.

Thank you. And respect to you and the team!

Cheers,

Luke Hannan, Raiders Junior Rugby Club President

July 2022

As Manager of the Sydney Uni U10 Team I would like to thank Chairman Angus Bruxner and his Board of The Rugby Club Foundation for their support of the NSWJU U10/U11 State Gala weekend.

It was fantastic to see so many kids and parents enjoying the game of Rugby. It was exactly 30 years since I competed in the same competition with Easts/Randwick JRU so it was wonderful to be back involved in such a great event. Without support from organisations such as The Rugby Club Foundation events such as this would not be possible and it is very much appreciated.

All the best and thanks again for the support of grassroots Rugby and future Wallabies.

July 2022

Just wanted to reach out and express thanks to yourself, Angus Bruxner and his board for what you all do for grassroots rugby.

We just attended the NSWJRU u10/U11 State Gala at Tuggerah where my son, played for Central North U11. He also had the opportunity to play for the U11 Barbarians. This was an absolute honour and very special as my dad, played for the Barbarians before he represented Queensland in the reds and Australia in the Wallabies. Dad was there to watch his grandson play and I suspect I saw a little tear escape 

What an amazing weekend. Central North also came away with the GR Paton Award for Spirit of Rugby – we have some very happy and tired little boys.

So thank you again for making all of this possible!

July 2022

I am the manager for the U10 Manly Marlins teams. I am writing to share my thanks and gratitude to The Rugby Club Foundation and Chairman Angus Bruxner and his Board for what they have done in the lead up to and implementation of the Positive Rugby Foundation NSWJRU U10/U11 State Gala.

Having played representative netball all of my life I have experienced gala days just like this and the bonding, camaraderie, sportsmanship and skill development that comes as a result of participating in such an event. We couldn't have asked for a better tournament, the sun was shining, players and officials were excited and pumped and the games went off without a hitch in the spirit of rugby.

I appreciate the huge amount of organisation, liaising and financial support that goes into such an event that gives our future generations of grassroots rugby players an opportunity to perform and experience representative sport. Thank you!!!

I know for a fact that all of our players, families and officials are counting down to next year's event.

July 2022

I am the Head Coach for the mighty U11 Warringah Rats!

I have just learnt of the generosity and support from the “Rugby Club Foundation” for the Positive Rugby Foundation NSWJRU U10/U11 State Gala event that was just run up at Tuggerah.

Your support of this grass roots event is absolutely sensational. It’s so important that we continue to build the depth and strength of our young player group and your support has allowed us to do this.

I know that the U11 players (and families) from the Warringah Rats Club thoroughly enjoy this event and are hungry to RIP IN at next years U12 State Champs already. We have you, the “Rugby Club Foundation” to thank for this!

Please pass on our gratitude and thanks to the Rugby Club Foundation Board and Members group from all the families and players at the NSWJRU U10/U11 State Gala for your support.

July 2022

On behalf of Eastwood Juniors I would like to thank The Rugby Foundation for your excellent support. The boys enjoyed a wonderful State Cup.

Many Thanks

Martin Halmarick

July 2022

To all involved at the Rugby Club Foundation

Thank you so much for supporting an incredible weekend of rugby for the NSWJRU U10/U11 State Gala. It was my son's first experience playing at this level for the u10 Manly Marlins. We loved every minute of the weekend and it really solidified his love for rugby and all the positive things it brings on and off the field.

Thanks so much

July 2022

Could you please pass onto Angus, Peter and the rest of the Board a massive thank you for the wonderful support The Rugby Club Foundation has given the NSW Junior State Championships in 2022.

We held our U10 & U11 State Gala over the weekend and without a doubt if was the most tremendous and rewarding junior grassroots rugby event I have been involved in.

With 52 teams from all over the State competing across 7 fields over two days at the Tuggerah Sports Complex – you’d think that there would be the usual amount of angst and tension that sometimes finds its way into Rep Carnivals. But this was the most positive and harmonious rugby event possible. All the kids had smiles on their faces and all the parents and supporters were just happy to be there and be a part of a fantastic rugby experience.

The support that you gave to assist each team with their entry fees, as well as make sure we could provide a high quality level of 1st aid and referees, went a long way to making this event the success that it was.

In short it was my favourite of all rugby events and I cant thank you enough for be an enormous part of making this possible.

Hopefully you have seen some of the photos & videos across the media and socials – I know the Daily Telegraph did a couple of articles and they too acknowledged your generous contribution.

Many thanks from all of us at NSW Juniors.

cheers

Ben Gregory

VP Representative - NSW Junior Rugby Union

July 2022

I wanted to pass on my thanks to the chairman and board for putting on a well organised and run U10 and U11 State Rugby Union Championships over the weekend. We were from the Warringah U11s team and had a great time playing some great rugby, making new friends and great memories 😊

Thanks again you should be all very proud

July 2022

Massive thank you for all the 10s Illawarriors. What a awesome weekend made possible from your generosity.

July 2022

I am writing to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for supporting the State Gala weekend this weekend at Tuggerah.

It was such a fantastic experience and all the boys and girls had a brilliant time (as did their parents and families). There were so many examples of great sportsmanship within teams and also between teams. The comradery that developed over the weekend was a great reflection of the value of sport. I am truly grateful that my son got to experience such a great weekend of rugby.

Thank you again for providing so many young players for the opportunity of this experience.

July 2022

I have just spent the weekend at the U10’s State champs held at Tuggerah and would like to express my gratitude to The Rugby Club Foundation backing this event happen.

My son played for the Manly u10 blues. The weekend was such a pleasure to be part, well run, great facility, great catering, pure enjoyment could be seen across the numerous rugby pitches. The foundation for many friendships and Australian rugby success.

July 2022

Our family have just come away from a weekend of rugby for the U10s Rugby State Championships, held at Tuggerah, and one month prior, the U12s State Champs held at Camden.

Both of these events were so well organised and managed and it was an absolute pleasure to be a parent involved in such events. The players had the time of their lives playing the sport they love and have made incredible friendships and memories.

I just wanted to send a personal email to thank The Rugby Club for all that the organisation does behind the scenes, to make these events proceed and run smoothly, despite the challenges of fickle weather, Covid and juggling other equally important events.

A very big Thank you!

Kind regards

Manly Marlins Parents

July 2022

What an incredible experience we had at the Rugby Gala weekend in Tuggerah.

A huge thank you to all of those involved in putting this event together. All of our girls and boys had such a great weekend.

With the disappointment of missing out due to Covid last year, this year definitely made up for that.

Kinds regards

U11 greens Randwick Manager

July 2022

Thank you for making this weekend happen for so many of us. Our son was privileged to be selected for the Warringah Rats team and to participate this weekend, it was a fun and phenomenal experience for our family and we are truly grateful for the support, it was wonderful to see so many talented kids from so many diverse regions. We appreciate the opportunity.

July 2022

My son, of the Warringah Rats U11 White’s team, was lucky enough to attend the state cup weekend in Tuggerah over the weekend. It was an exceptional experience and one he will never forget. I wanted to thank Chairman Angus Bruxner and the board for everything they do and for their generous support in making this weekend possible for so many boys. As a parent, I very much appreciate The Rugby Club Foundation and your support of the young boys and girls coming through!

June 2022

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank The Rugby Club Foundation for your support of youth refereeing via the recent NSWJRU State Championships and to tell you what a difference it made to participants.

I was in a unique position to observe the impact of your grant for referees; I was part of the organising committee and was also the referee convener for the U13 boys' at Dubbo.

Being able to accommodate all referees at a single location enabled us to work with our young charges well after full time had been blown on the field for the day, thus extending our development and educational time frame. It also allowed our participants (referees and referee coaches) to further meld into an effective team over a cordial meal in the evening.

The provision of a bus from Sydney to Dubbo made participation easier and more affordable for all passengers. Indeed, had the bus not been on offer, it is likely a Newcastle referee would not have participated due to the distance and expense of having his father drive him across. The success of the bus was highlighted for me, when one of the central coast referees dismissed their parents who had driven him across for him to ride back on the bus with his new mates. To my mind this is what the tournament is about with TRCF’s support; learning, developing, building great memories and making great new mates.

Further building on the notion of teamwork at the tournament was the creation and provision of a team tournament shirt and a gift hoodie. These were unbelievably well received as a token of thanks to our match official participants and as an exclusive memento of a terrific weekend. Both were only possible due to the TRCF’s generosity.

From my involvement in the pregame administration, I also know that your grant made a difference in participation for participants at other location. There were multiple instances when referee availability was freed up when parents realised that they didn’t have to attend all weekend themselves due to the provision of accommodation or because of better transport options or both.

I have personally long held the belief that you can’t get positive player development without a commensurate development with referees; please know that your support made a huge difference and has aided with the development of the 100+ match official participants.

Kind regards and thanks again for your support.

June 2022

I thought it appropriate to send a quick(ish) thank you to The Rugby Club Foundation (TRCF) for your support of the Illawarra Referees and support of Match Officials during the NSW Junior State Championships held over the June Long weekend. I was the Referee convenor for the Under 12's tournament at Camden.

Firstly many thanks to TRCF for the grant to purchase a set of Referee Communications equipment for Illawarra Referees. As you are aware we matched the grant, purchasing an additional set in the week leading into the State Championship and had hoped both sets would be delivered from Qld in time to use during the Camden Tournament. Fortunately in leaving for the tournament on Friday afternoon I was delayed by a few minutes waiting for a colleague when the courier turned up with both sets of communications gear, a rare occurrence indeed but grateful we would get a chance to test the sets out over 3 days of rugby!

My reason for leaving earlier than usual on the Friday was that I had organised to pick up a minibus that was hired to ferry the young referees and referee coaches from our accommodation outside Picton to the State Championships tournament at Camden over the 3 days. I was advised during the organising process that both the bus and accomodation were funded by the Rugby Club Foundation so once again many thanks.

It was a great opportunity to give a group of young 14-18 years old referees "a rugby experience" of living together in a tournament based rugby carnival, many for their first time. The accommodation gave us the opportunity to discuss and watch games as well as getting a group of young match officials from all over NSW bonding together and aware of nutritional requirements to keep themselves refereeing for the duration of the tournament.

The communications equipment worked fantastic and assisted our Referee coaches in developing the young referees as well as allowing "team of 3" communication between Referee and Assistant referees, especially when games stepped up on Monday and we needed to be more accurate in our decisions. It certainly made a difference and was a thrill for those young referees who used the sets for the first time.

I have been involved in these State Championships in various capacities for the best part of 15 years and I have to say that this was by far the most enjoyable and rewarding experience so far. As for TRCF support you can't get more grass roots than helping develop young match officials and the improvement shown by the boys over the weekend as well as the great time had was paramount to your support.

Thank you once again and Kind regards,

Ross Williamson

12's State Champs Convenor

Secretary, Illawarra Rugby Referees

June 2022

On behalf of the Eastern Suburbs District I would like to pass on our sincere thanks for your support and sponsorship of this great event. It was incredible to see the talent on display and the passion across each age group. Your support, including the first aid, is crucial in providing these opportunities for our young rugby players. I would also like to thank and call out the dedication and professionalism of Ben Gregory and team.

President, East Junior Beasties

June 2022

What a wonderful weekend the New England Rugby Under 14’s Boys team had in Orange.

Rugby was the winner over the Long Weekend and the standard of rugby on display was amazing.

Playing the Country Championships and the State Championships over the one weekend has a huge success.

Please can you pass on our thanks to all the people involved at Orange City Junior Rugby.

They worked tirelessly all weekend to keep everything running smoothly, kids fed (Pork was fantastic) and warm by the log fires.

A big thankyou must also go to NSW Junior Rugby Union for their organisation of the whole carnival.

Zoom meetings prior and communication was great to have us prepared for the carnival so we could just let the kids play rugby.

A massive thankyou must go to The Rugby Club Foundation, none of this would have happened without their support.

Their contribution to pay all the fees for the teams is a huge investment in the future of rugby.

Allowing these young men to take part is a key driver for the success of the game into the future.

I am sure some families would have not had boys been playing if not for their generous donation made by The Rugby Club Foundation.

Please can you pass on our thanks from all the players and parents from the New England Under 14’s Team.

A great job by everyone involved.

Regards

New England Rugby Manager

June 2022

If I may introduce myself, I was the U14 Gordon Girls coach for the State Championships at Koola Park (East Killara) this long weekend.

Beyond the appreciation and respect that we have for both Ben Gregory (GM) and Lisa Rothwell (U14 Comp Mgr), and on behalf of the Under 14 Gordon Girls side, we would like to extend our thank you for your loyal support of Junior Rugby.

By way of background, our team overcame a number of challenges and disruptions to get our squad on the park, where we had no help with COVID, Flu, rain and injuries.

Though rugby as in life, as I mentioned to them many times over the weekend, this throws us challenges that we must rise and overcome, and our girls did such that. They dusted themselves off and rose to that challenge.

The vast majority of our girls had never played State champs before, and they all came away from this weekend with an even greater love for the game.

Admittedly, they were a little despondent to not have got the silverware, parents and one and all were so very proud of what our girls achieved and how they conducted themselves throughout the weekend.

Though this had the effect of encouraging them all to keep playing, and were even more determined to come back, participate and compete again next year.

Every one of our U14 Gordon girls side are now empowered, confident young women following what they achieved over the 3 days. Where the tournament that you support, deserves all the accolades for giving them that opportunity and self-belief.

To this point we are all most very grateful.

With the continued support of the Rugby Club Foundation at this level, the future of our great game is given every opportunity it deserves.

June 2022

I would like to thank The Rugby Club Foundation and all involved in the SJRU over the long weekend. What a wonderful display of Rugby and skills from the Under 18s competition. The weather was beautiful and great for Rugby. This all could not be possible with out the hard work put in by the SJRU and countless workers behind the scene. Thank you

Assistant Coach to West Harbour

April 2022

I would personally like to reiterate Ben Gregory’s thanks and acknowledgement for your generous grant to assist with the promotion of new coaches within the ranks of SJRU, NSW Country and NSW Schools. It has been a long term objective of the NSWJRU to maintain and develop participation and inclusiveness across all areas of the game and we have identified that coach development forms a crucial role in this advancement. Your generous support will go a long way to supporting and developing existing coaches and importantly introducing new ones to our game that are of the requisite calibre.

Having the three affiliates, SJRU, Country and Schools working together has been a great step forward in our recent past and this financial support will work to strengthen the collegiate spirit and the junior game across the state.

Many thanks and kind regards

I would like to echo Adam's words of appreciation and gratitude for The Rugby Club Foundation support of Junior Rugby and State Championships.

This level of support is amazing and will provide significant boost of positive sentiment to all volunteers and families involved in grass roots rugby.

I just wanted to drop a note on behalf of both Manly Junior Rugby Union and its 5 constituent clubs – Seaforth Raiders, Harbord Harlequins, Manly Roos, Allambie Jets, Manly Savers and Forest Rugby Club - to thank The Rugby Foundation for their kind support of the 2022 NSWJRU State Championships.

The State Championships are a key part of the junior rugby calendar and your support is applauded and appreciated.

Cheers

Peter Gibson

President, Manly Junior Rugby Union

April 2022

On behalf of Randwick District I would like to sincerely thank The Rugby Club Foundation for their generous support of the NSWJRU State Championships. The State Chaps are a very special weekend for all our Junior Clubs and they could not be run without the ongoing support of organisiations like The Rugby Club Foundation. Entering teams in the State Chaps is not a cheap exercise so we appreciate any assistance which takes pressure off this area enabling everyone to focus on the footy.

Thanks again and lets hope for a great weekend of rugby in June.

Warm regards.

Arthur Spellson

President, Randwick District Junior Rugby Union

April 2022

I just want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the Rugby Club Foundation for the support and contribution to the State Championships in 2022.

As a district we can use the funding we would have spend for the State Championships, towards additional coaching and resources for the kids rugby development.

Once again thanks so much.

Cheers

Alistair Keep

President – Warringah Junior Rugby Union

April 2022

I just wanted to write to you say thankyou on behalf of all our Two Blues and also Rugby in the west.

As our District fields all teams with the exception of Open Girls on the NSW Positive Rugby State Championships, having our entry fees covered is of significant help.

I am also very pleased of the news of The Rugby Club Foundations support with the Two Blues Rugby Union Academy too. This type of support makes all the hard work from so many volunteers and sponsors all the more worthwhile.

Again many thanks for your support, it goes a very long way and I’m certain our other districts and zones agree.

Tim Shand

Director of Juniors | Western Sydney Two Blues Rugby Club

President | Two Blues Junior Rugby Club

April 2022

I received a note from Ben Gregory informing all clubs of the incredible act of generosity from The Rugby Club Foundation in ensuring that the costs associated with playing in the State Championships will be covered.

All our families must pay for their kit, entry and a host of other costs associated with the weekend. Making this more accessible, especially against the backdrop of spiralling costs in almost every area of our lives, will be well received.

A pillar in our junior program is ‘care’ and making sure there are qualified medical support available with a cost imposition will go down well, as is the costs of the refs.

When we get together as all teams in early June for our jersey presentation I will be sure to include a mention of what has been done for us by you and the rest of the team.

Yours in Rugby,

Adam Dunn

President, Sydney University Juniors Rugby

April 2022

This is fantastic news and incredibly generous.

Please pass on a thanks from Eastwood District and our Village clubs to The Rugby Club Foundation. This means that our funds can be directly applied to helping kids play rugby, it is a HUGE help.

Many Thanks

Martin Halmarick

Eastwood Juniors President

April 2022

On behalf of Penrith District Junior Rugby Union Club and our four village clubs, Penrith RSL Junior Rugby Union Club, Western Raptors Junior Rugby Union Club, Blue Mountains Junior Rugby Union Club and Luddenham Lions Junior Rugby Union Club, I would like to extend our gratitude to the Rugby Club Foundation for covering the costs of this years State Championships (entry fee's, referee and first aid costs).

As a small district in a league dominant area, this will give us an opportunity to repurpose those expenses and give a little more back to our players and the club members, which is a great token of appreciation after a few COVID impacted years.

We love following your journey of 'sharing the spirit of the game' and appreciate your ongoing support to grassroots rugby.

Again, we are very appreciative of your kind gesture.

Kind regards,

Sia'a Taveuveu

President, Penrith District Junior Rugby Union - PDJRU

April 2022

On behalf of all of us at WH Juniors, I wanted to reach out to say a huge thank you for your support again 2022!

Your assistance in covering the cost of all team entry fees, first aid and referees will go a long way in ensuring we run a successful campaign for all our teams representing West Harbour, as well as ensuring we run a successful day hosting the u15s tournament at Concord.

Your support does not go unnoticed.

Thank you again!

Peter Johnston

President, West Harbour Junior Rugby Club

April 2022

Can you please pass on my thankyou to the Rugby Club Foundation. I am the tour manager for three teams that will be making the trip from Perth to compete in the u15s boys and u14s girls tournaments. I believe it's the first time teams from WA have competed in the competition, the players, coaches and parents are very much looking forward to the competition and appreciate the support our teams have been receiving from the community and sponsors.

Again I thank you for your support and hope I can thank rugby foundation members in person at some stage during the tournament.

April 2022

A short email to pass on a big thanks for The Rugby Club Foundation to their support for the NSW Champs and the financial and other support they are providing for the teams and kids participating.

As a visiting club from Interstate that is already fundraising for the Tour this is a massive contribution. We have players who are struggling financially to tour and your support really counts and makes a difference to their participation and lifelong rugby touring memories!!

Thanks again.

April 2022

I just wanted thank you so much for your State Championships generosity. At the CCJRU we have been working overtime to make the rep program cheaper and more accessible to all players. The State championships are the absolute pinnacle of junior rugby and the thing that holds us above all other codes in junior sport. With your generosity we can get more involved in this carnival and hopefully keep kids in the game.

Thank you so much.

Shane Orr
CCJRU president

April 2022

I’d like to thank you for this generous grant to assist with the promotion of new coaches within the ranks of SJRU, NSW Country and NSW Schools.

This program will go a long way to introducing new coaches to our game that are of substantial quality needed.

A fantastic opportunity that we could not run without your generous support.

Many thanks on behalf of the three affiliate bodies of NSW Juniors

April 2022

That is amazing!

Thank you to you and the Board, it will long a long way for our Academy plans and dreams.

April 2022

On behalf of the NSW Juniors Board, all the various Zones and Districts within NSW & the external teams participating from interstate, we would like to thank the Rugby Club Foundation for their generous support of the State Championships with this grant.

These funds will allow all the teams to enter without the added burden of an entry fee which will allow them all to reduce the costs to their players associated with playing representative rugby.

It is also vitally important for us to be able to use this grant monies to facilitate a consistent standard of 1st aid at all of the State Championship venues – this will ensure that our players are able to get the highest quality level of help should an injury occur during the State Champs. The message this sends about our combined commitment to player welfare will be strong and a fantastic vehicle for promoting the junior game and our commitment to safety.

The same goes for our referee brethren and the ability to make sure our officiating will be of the highest quality over the weekend. Once again showing a wonderful commitment to the junior game.

I will be broadcasting our appreciation for your generous support far and wide and can’t tell you how fantastic it is to have your support

Could you please pass on our appreciation to your Board and please let me know if we can do anything to assist in return

Many thanks

Ben Gregory

General Manager, Sydney Junior Rugby Union
