CHSSA Rugby Union Girls Rugby 7

Following on from a successful inaugural year The Rugby Club Foundation was proud to continue to support the NSW Combined High Schools Sports Associations’ Girl's Rugby 7s program. The program provided exposure to Rugby 7s for secondary students in public schools across NSW and allowed the girls an opportunity to represent their school, region and state, as well as assisting their Rugby development.

The culmination of the program, showcased by exceptional performances from the NSWCHSSA teams at the State Championships, resulted in 21 out of 27 players (including injured players) selected for higher honours.

The NSW Combined High Schools Sports Association as part of its charter, provides approximately 400,000 students (both boys and girls) who attend government schools with a comprehensive Rugby Program under the leadership of Craig Howe (NSWCHSSA Rugby Convener) from Grafton High School.
