Nowra Anglican College Invitational Barbarian v Tongan Schoolboys

On Friday 15th September 2023, a Nowra Anglican College Invitational Barbarian team assembled at Shoalhaven Rugby Club to play against the touring Tongan Schoolboys. Thousands of people from the local community and further afar came to watch this amazing spectacle.

The Barbarian team, coached by former Herron Scholarship recipient Keiran Wallace and assistant coach Daniel Toole, boasted eight players from Nowra Anglican College and 15 from the local South Coast/ Illawarra region. Although the NAC Barbarian side was defeated 20-15 in the final minutes of the fixture, the sense of community and showcase of running rugby made this a game for the ages!

The Rugby Club Foundation was proud to assist the Nowra Anglican College and Shoalhaven Rugby Club with this fixture and continue to be “Sharing the Spirit of the Game”.
